TRAVELTIPS FOR YOUR EYES
Traveling is fun, but also hard for the body. A travel pharmacie is recommended. We can give you advice for your eyes.
CONTACTLENSES
Sun and sea makes that your eyes could get faster infected:
Comfortdrops gives you more comfort. There exsist three types of drops: aqeous drops (bvb Blink or Artelac) / cleaning drops
(bvb Blink & Clean) and supergel drops (based on hyaluronsour - bvb Blink contacts / Hyabak / hylocomod). This is recommended when you swim a lot! The more your eyes and skin are in water, the dryer they get. Hydrating aftersun is well known for skin care. Comfortdrops are too much forgotten!
Stronger eyedrops can cure faster by inflammation (they contain of antibiotics and some cortisone), bvb Deicol.
Let your contactlenses out for a couple of days, untill the inflammation is gone !
Day and night lenses: in that way you avoid manipulations in less good environments (bvb on a festival).
Then there is less chance on contamination ! Action: 31 € for one pair / buying 2 pair, one for free.
Daylenses: ideal for using contactlenses in "dangerous condintions": contactsports // swimming
GLASSES
Quality sunglasses: protect your eyes against UV burning and the bright light. In that way, they feel less tired ! Wearing sunglasses prevent eye diseases on a long term: cataract and wearing spots in the retina ("macula-degeneration"). The best sunglasses are those of "Serengeti". With a built in blue filter they have a contrast increasing effect !
* Don't put your glasses on the dashboard of your car. In the summer your (organic) glasses can melt right away!
OTHER TIPS
Small binoculars: you increase your viewing, because you can see more details of the nature or buildings. Also in museums, you can see the higher hanging paintings much better. Nowadays there are binoculars in handy pocketsizes. Skin reactions caused by insect bites, contact with plants or sunburning: mostly they dissapear spontaneously. Cold compresses (bvb icecubes in a towel) can speed up the healing process. By intense itching, a light cortisone cream can be used (based on hydrocortisone (acetaat ) 1% bvb) . Don't lubricate powerfull cortisone cream on a big skin surface! If serious reactions appear (general skin rash / fever / swelling of glands) it's best to consult a doctor. The doctor can administer medication based on antihistaminica or cortisone !
For sunburning is suncream a good prevention. Choose for a high protection factor against UVA and UVB-rays.
