What is iritis?
This is an inflammation of the iris. The iris is the sphincter that regulates the amount of light that enters the eye.
Causes
Certain infectious diseases such as herpes zoster, can cause iritis. The cause is usually unknown.
Symptoms
The symptoms of iritis include pain, red eyes and photophobia.
